The AccuBoost 60L unpumped model has a pressurised vessel water storage capacity of 27.5L. The tank will supplement the water supplied by the mains providing an additional 2L/min into the system, boosting the water flow to the outlets in the home.

Salamander Pumps were asked to identify a solution to low water pressure and flow at a property with an old mains booster set that wasn’t efficient. Here we hear from the installer who contacted us to resolve the problem.
This customer had recently had an extension built onto their home alongside some underfloor heating and a new boiler. Vapour Heating Ltd then suggested a 180L Pumped AccuBoost Accumulator to help service the 2 bathrooms in the property.
For this installation we partnered with national plumbing company, Metro Plumb. Metro Plumb have installers located all over the UK who are highly trained in dealing with plumbing emergencies, carrying out plumbing repairs and fixing everything from dripping taps to leaky radiators.
When householder Stuart noticed he had low water pressure after fitting a new tap in his kitchen he reached out to the branch which he purchased his tap from. Will from Tap Store then reached out to Salamander Pumps, who had the perfect solution.

Measuring the water flow is an important step in choosing the right pump. Water flow rate is measured in litres per minute (L/min).
To measure the water flow rate, you will need a measuring jug and a timer.
For example, if you gathered 600ml in 10 seconds, to calculate the flow rate in litres per minute – 600 x 6 = 3600ML per minute = 3.6L/min.
